Graduate Spotlight - Corinne LeBlanc, MSOM, L.Ac

JingShen Pediatrics is extremely proud and excited to shine a spotlight on one of our alumni - Corinne LeBlanc, MSOM, L.Ac, founder of Portland Pediatric Acupuncture.

Corinne's introduction to Pediatric Acupuncture came while she was working with neurodivergent children as a certified trainer with the Son-Rise Program. One of her children clients was getting acupuncture and she noticed that he was doing exceptionally well - making better eye contact, being more social, and having a longer attention span after sessions. She asked to observe a session and was instantly hooked.

After graduating from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, CO, Corinne moved to Portland. She has been in clinical practice for 8 years as an acupuncturist, primarily as a pediatric specialist the entire time because she recognized early on that she "was good at treating adults, excellent at treating kids." Because of her experience before being an Acupuncturist, Corinne specializes with working with neurodivergent children and their families. "My practice is about 80% kids, and the 20% that are adults are usually parents or guardians of the kids."

Navigating the COVID pandemic was tough. Corinne shared that "lots of parents were scared" to bring their kids in, which led Corinne to close down her full-time space and move into a shared office for a few years. Not only did she keep her practice alive, but she also brought new life into the world, giving birth to her son in November Corinne is currently on maternity leave with her newborn son, and will be returning to clinical practice in September, when she is planning to re-open her dedicated, kid-friendly office.

Corinne graduated from the Jingshen Pediatric Acupuncture Certificate Program in June, 2022 (began in 2020). To learn more about her practice, please visit her website AcuforKids.com.
